2014 Artistry In Wood Show
Many of the greatest wood artists in the country will meet again this fall to display and sell their works at the 33rd annual Artistry In Wood Show in Dayton, Ohio on November 8th & 9th 2014. Over half the states in the country are represented by these artists and they will give the public a chance to see the greatest compilation of wood art not seen anywhere else in the U.S. There will be a Special Exhibit featuring a 40 foot long 1/12" scale miniature wooden Circus Parade from the collection of Patrick Wentzel of Parkersburg WV. An anonymous German carver from 1940 through the 1960's carved most of the circus figures collected over a thirty-year period. Free demonstrations will be held each day by some nationally known woodcarvers and woodworkers including Scott Phillips of PBS TV. Our very popular hands-on Youth, Program which allows youngsters to build a wooden project under the careful guidance of a Western Ohio Woodworker's member, will also run continuously throughout the week end.
